I was so excited to get a personal combbinder and had tried to research carefully before ordering one online. True to advertising, this combbinder easily punches through 8 sheets of paper and neatly stores the clipped pieces in the tray. It's simple to operate (good thing, because the instructions are 5 cartoon pictures). The one and only con? It's a BIG one. I couldn't get it to punch the combbind aligned properly so that it was far enough away from the edge of the paper- no matter how many times I tried. It cuts off the edge of the paper and notches it- but leaves nothing to attach your binding to! Over and over! I'm not an idiot, either. There are no troubleshooting instructions, no phone number to call, no address to write to- nothing. There is no way to manually adjust the alignment. This machine simply notches the edge of your paper and ruins everything you put into it. Of course, there is always the chance that I got a bad apple in the lot that is manufactured incorrectly, but I'll never know, because it's going straight back where it came from and I will not be ordering another one!

This is a good personal binding system that works as advertised. The only issue I noted was it will punch 8 sheets at once, but you really have to work to get them in. I settled on 5-6 sheets per punch-action because of the difficulty putting more than 6 sheets in the puncher and I didn't feel like pushing so hard on the punch -- 6 punch just fine.

The day after I receive it, I punched and bound 10 80-page booklets with no real problem.

The video is good, battery life is excellent, sound is satisfactory. But the exterior design of the unit is poor.Within few days dust gets deposited in the left and right part of the ipod docking station which is mesh like thing (cannot be seen in the picture) covering audio speakers and its very difficult to clean it. The unit is thick and heavy.

I got this as a gift and, even though there are some problems with it, I'm going to keep it for long flights. Why on earth they don't show movies anymore on long flights is beyond me, but this device is a good solution since it's a lot cheaper than even $300 laptops and less of a pain to set up.

The picture is not pirated-video bad like another reviewer says. Its not very good, but its better than horrible. The sound is, I think, very good.

A couple other reviewers mention the horrible aspect ratio problems. This alone would have me return the device, but it was a gift. Even if your ipod and the device are both set for wide-screen, it will stretch the picture horizontally but not vertically, leaving a ridiculously narrow image with black bars on the top of the screen. This is totally unacceptable. Using a 4:3 setting on your ipod and the wide-screen setting on the device fills up the screen but everything is short and squat and your not seeing the whole picture. SUPER LAME! Keep shopping!

The best solution is to set the ipod and the device to 4:3 - you get a good image, but you only get 6 or 7 of the 8.5 inches you paid for, with black bars on the sides of the screen. This item is not light to carry around, so those missing two inches are, I feel, insult to injury. Still, even with cut-off the screen is much bigger than a PSP or iPhone and the sound is loud!

We have gone through two of these. The first one cracked in the bottom, as other reviews have noted for the salt and the same style pepper grinder. The cracked pieces fell into our food, and I was lucky enough to find it so I didn't have to throw it out to avoid having someone choke on acrylic salt shaker pieces. Also, the grinding mechanisms stops working after a while, like the salt is eating away at it or something. Maybe this happens to all grinders? And, as others point out, the grind changes while holding it and is uneven. We love the small size, but this was annoying. Finally learning our lesson and getting a different kind.

I too use it for my Himalayan sea salt. You have to use coarse grind salt. I used to get the chunks out too, until I put on my glasses one day and saw how to get the mill to do the fine grind. This is my bad, not the mill's. I have had mine for 4 or 5 years and am very pleased. Will get another so I can use it with Salish smoked salt. This is a great way to add smoked flavor to soups and such without using smoked meats.

When we remodeled one of our bathrooms, we decided to keep the doors to save money.
The old doors had those awful spring doorstops on them.
Once the doors were primed and painted, we added new hardware and swapped the springy things for these door stops.
They work great and look much better.
