First and foremost, the headphones sound great and are comfortable. The pull out microphone is convenient and the sound quality is good. The short cable and included extension cord is also a plus. Overall a great purchase.

- These headsets are built to be lightweight and stay comfortable through long gaming sessions. SteelSeries succeeded at doing just that. Most of the headset is made out of plastic for a good reason.
- Sound quality is average to above average. It says "Crystal clear high, low and mid-tones." That's true, but the quality isn't exactly what you would expect. The bass is acceptable; Not too low or high. I bought this for gaming and not for listening to music. So this average level of sound quality works but it could be better. Steelseries is a company that makes gears for gamers, not for music enthusiasts.
- The mic is good. It produces a clear transmission through Ventrilo and Mumble. It sure beats my old 20-dollar mic.
- I don't have a big head so these stay comfortably on my head like a hat. Minus the cord, it weighs as much as an Iphone 4.
Overall, $70 is the right price point for these headsets, and not $90~, based on sound quality and build quality (plastic headsets should not cost this much.) But remember this, when buying gears from gaming companies, a large portion of the money which you pay goes to buying the brand name.
Black and gold color combination looks great. See the two small gold rings on the headset? Between those two rings is another large inner gold ring. Whoever took that picture has no photography skill. These headsets would look much better if the picture was taken from a different angle.
